Certification of Institutional Animal Care & Use Approval to Funding Agencies

After NYU Grossman School of Medicine’s Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee has approved a protocol involving vertebrate animals, Sponsored Programs Administration staff can provide certification of approval to funding agencies.

National Institutes of Health and National Science Foundation Grant Application Criteria

Any grant application, contract proposal, or cooperative agreement that involves the use of live vertebrate animals for experimental research—including animals obtained or euthanized for tissue harvest or generation of custom antibodies—that will be funded by the National Institutes of Health or National Science Foundation requires adherence to the NIH Grants Policy and NSF Grant Proposal Guide.
