Macy Faculty Scholars Program
The Macy Faculty Scholars Program is designed to identify and nurture the careers of promising educational innovators in medicine and nursing. Up to five faculty leaders are selected each year.

National Board of Medical Examiners Stemmler Medical Education Research Fund
The goal of the National Board of Medical Examiner’s Edward J. Stemmler Medical Education Research Fund is to provide support for research on, and development of, innovative assessment approaches that will enhance the professional development of those preparing to, or continuing to, practice medicine. The maximum grant award is $150,000 for up to two years.

Medical Education Awards

The Abraham Flexner Award for Distinguished Service to Medical Education is granted to an individual for extraordinary contributions to the medical education community.

The Alpha Omega Alpha Robert J. Glaser Distinguished Teacher Award recognizes the significant contributions teachers make to medical education.

The Group on Women in Medicine and Science Leadership Award recognizes either an individual or an organization for contributions to advancing women leaders in academic medicine and science.

The Association for Medical Education in Europe’s Lifetime Achievement Award is given to an individual who has made a considerable contribution to medical and healthcare professions education.

The Miriam Friedman Ben-David New Educator’s Award is given to an individual who has made an extraordinary effort and contribution within the field of medical education.

The NEGEA Awards promote excellence in the education of medical students, residents, and physicians.
