Vascular & Endovascular Surgery Continuing Medical Education

NYU Langone’s Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery offers continuing medical education programs to residents, fellows, and practicing surgeons.

Venous Thromboembolic Center Educational Videos

NYU Langone’s Venous Thromboembolic Center (VTEC) seamlessly delivers advanced detection, care, and management services for patients experiencing a venous thromboembolism, commonly known as a blood clot. VTEC is also at the forefront of providing education to the larger medical community.

The following teaching video module provides an overview on the fundamentals of venous thromboembolic disease and reviews epidemiology, anatomy–physiology, presentation, and possible complications related to deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolus.

Venous Thrombosis Course

The Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery hosts an annual one-day Venous Thrombosis Continuing Medical Education course. Previous topics covered include COVID-19 and vascular disease, upper extremity deep vein thrombosis, and venous thrombosis during pregnancy. For more information, please call 844-698-8832.

Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Weekly Conference

The Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Weekly Conference takes place on Tuesday mornings from 7:00 to 8:00AM in the Skirball third-floor Seminar Room.

The conference provides a forum for the presentation of clinical advances in vascular disease with topics selected specifically to address the educational needs of Department of Surgery physicians and trainees in our fellowship program.

Speakers include vascular fellows, Department of Surgery residents, and visiting professors and lecturers, as well as the division’s esteemed faculty. The program provides an educational forum for an interdisciplinary discussion of the diagnosis, treatment, and management of vascular disease, and is attended by faculty in surgery, interventional radiology, and other specialties.

The conference is open to the medical community. There is no fee to attend, and registration is not necessary.
