The NYU Langone Health podiatric medicine and surgery externship includes inpatient and outpatient clinical exposure, hands-on surgical experiences alongside current resident and attendings, and active participation in all academic conferences throughout a one-month rotation. At the end of the externship month, you present on a chosen topic related to your experiences throughout your time with the program as explored through extern-led weekly journal clubs.

We accept externs from all of the podiatric medical colleges throughout the academic calendar year. Externship applications are handled through the American Association of Colleges of Podiatric Medicine.

We accept residents from all of the podiatric medical colleges throughout the academic calendar year. Residency applications are handled through the Central Application Service for Podiatric Residencies/Centralized Residency Interview Program (CASPR/CRIP).
