Division of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery

At NYU Langone Health’s Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, our threefold mission is to provide outstanding individualized care to patients with vascular disease, conduct basic science and clinical research, and offer world-class medical education to medical students, general and vascular surgical residents and fellows, and practicing surgeons.

Vascular and Endovascular Clinical Care

Under the leadership of Caron B. Rockman, MD, chief of the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, our team of vascular surgeons provides expert clinical care to patients. We specialize in using individualized open vascular surgical techniques and endovascular surgery, as well as medical and nonsurgical management. We stress minimally invasive approaches when feasible.

Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Research

Faculty in our division are active in both basic science and clinical research and publish in peer-reviewed journals. In addition, our division participates in the Society for Vascular Surgery Vascular Quality Initiative.

Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Education

Our commitment to excellence in the field begins with ensuring residents, fellows, and medical students receive the highest-quality education available.

Post-Graduate Training in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery

Our division offers concurrently run dual training pathways that lead to board certification in vascular surgery: the Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency (0+5 program) and a Vascular Surgery Fellowship (5+2 program). Learn more about our post-graduate training programs in vascular and endovascular surgery.

In addition, both our General Surgery Residency in Manhattan and General Surgery Residency at NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn include rotations in vascular and endovascular surgery.

Training for Medical Students

Medical students receive education and training from our faculty in vascular and endovascular surgery through NYU Grossman School of Medicine’s surgery selectives, Advanced Surgery Clerkship, and General Surgery Subinternship.

Continuing Medical Education

Our division presents various continuing medical education (CME) offerings to trainees and healthcare professionals. Learn more about our CME courses and conferences.

Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency

Our 5+0 program leads to eligibility for board certification in vascular surgery.

Vascular Surgery Fellowship

Our two-year vascular surgery fellowship follows residency training in general surgery.
