Rusk Rehabilitation Education

Our faculty includes world-renowned rehabilitation medicine experts across a wide range of subspecialties.

NYU Langone’s Rusk Rehabilitation faculty comprises world-renowned physiatrists and rehabilitation medicine experts. Each is committed to educating the next generation of specialists and subspecialists in the latest evidence-based treatment practices, so they can go on to successfully provide patients with the physical, social, emotional, vocational, and recreational support they need to improve their quality of life.

We train physicians and allied healthcare professionals in rehabilitation medicine for adult and pediatric patients. We offer training in both inpatient and outpatient care settings across various subspecialties, including brain injury, cancer, cardiac and pulmonary conditions, chronic neurological conditions, limb loss, orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, pediatric conditions and injuries, spinal cord injury, and stroke. Our trainees also enjoy the opportunity to work with one of the most diverse patient populations in the country in our state-of-the-art facilities.

Our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency for physicians is one of the largest rehabilitation medicine training programs in the country, with 36 residency slots.
