Trainees work alongside our world-renowned faculty and staff and gain hands-on experience providing patients with the physical, psychological, social, emotional, vocational, and recreational support they need to enjoy the best possible quality of life. Our trainees also have the opportunity to work with one of the most diverse patient populations in the country.

Training is available in the following healthcare professions:

  • physical therapy
  • occupational therapy
  • speech and swallowing therapy
  • vocational therapy
  • psychological services
  • music and recreational therapy
  • nutrition
  • social work services

Our rehabilitation residencies designed for allied healthcare professionals include acute care physical therapy and neurologic physical therapy. In addition, we serve as a clinical site for the orthopedic physical therapy residency at NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.

We also offer rehabilitation fellowships for allied healthcare professionals in speech pathology, hand therapy, orthopedic manual therapy, the performing arts, and psychology.

Potential trainees are also invited to consider our various clinical education experiences, internships, and externships; our observership, training, and volunteer opportunities; and our Health Career Opportunity Program.
