Inhalation Exposure Core Fees

Services at NYU Grossman School of Medicine’s Inhalation Exposure Core are provided on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority going to NYU Langone’s Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Cancer Center researchers and junior researchers.

Animal Care and Exposure Unit

For work that is beyond the normal duties of animal care, the Animal Care and Exposure Unit charges $25 per hour to Perlmutter Cancer Center members and $30 per hour to all other NYU researchers. We charge for extra services related to specific technical support such as animal injections or necropsies.

Full animal per diems are charged for normal care and supervision, but specialized care and supervision of exposed animals are provided at no additional cost.

Personnel training and upkeep of specialized equipment and containment space associated with animal exposures are also free of charge.

Inhalation Unit

Routine exposures in the Inhalation Unit cost $25 per hour for Perlmutter Cancer Center members and $30 per hour for all others. For cost savings, a project’s research personnel can also be trained to conduct the study.

Services associated with developing or setting up a new inhalation exposure system are provided at no cost.

Please note that these prices are likely to increase by 3 percent annually, starting September 1, 2017.
