Neurogenetics Research

Research programs in NYU Langone’s Division of Neurogenetics are focused on leveraging genetic technologies to transform care for individuals with rare neurogenetic disorders and their families.

Our team collaborates with colleagues at NYU Langone’s Center for Human Genetics and Genomics and others across the United States to find answers for undiagnosed children with a suspected neurogenetic condition. For treatment, our research team is active in multisite natural history studies and interventional clinical trials focused on neuronopathic lysosomal storage disorders to better understand the evolution of these rare disorders and identify safe and effective precision therapies for future generations.

Neurogenetics Clinical Research

The Division of Neurogenetics seeks to understand the natural history of lysosomal storage disorders and other genetic disorders affecting the nervous system in order to identify clinically meaningful endpoints for interventional clinical trials. We have a long history of conducting interventional clinical trials using novel precision therapies and are excited to offer our patients opportunities to participate in groundbreaking clinical research.
