Fellowship Opportunities

Two fellowships—the Jan T. Vilcek Fellowship and David M. Goldfarb Fellowship—support a new generation of exceptional bacteriologists, virologists, parasitologists, and cancer biologists currently being trained in the Department of Microbiology. These fellowships support research that may not otherwise be funded through traditional training grants and fellowships.

The fellowships support full-time PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows training in the Department of Microbiology.

Each year a call for nominations is broadcasted across the department. A fellowship committee selects three to four recipients based on the merit and the quality of proposed research projects.
