Internal Medicine Residency Tracks & Programs

The Internal Medicine Residency program in NYU Langone’s Department of Medicine offers different tracks that allow residents to personalize their training according to their interests.

Residents split their inpatient time at the following locations to complete their rotations: NYU Langone’s Tisch Hospital and Kimmel Pavilion, NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System, and NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn. The percentage of time at each location is determined by the training track.

For outpatient experiences, our house staff are assigned to a primary outpatient site based on their track. Residents in the categorical tracks are assigned to the NYU Langone Faculty Group Practice, Bellevue outpatient clinics, and the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System for Manhattan-based categorical tracks. Members of the primary care track attend clinic at NYC Health + Hospitals/Gouverneur, and members of the community health track attend clinic at Park Ridge Family Health Center at NYU Langone and Sunset Park Family Health Center at NYU Langone—55th Street. All residents have the opportunity to rotate at more than 30 NYU Langone–affiliated ambulatory practices and care for patients across a diverse range of settings.
