Division of Infectious Diseases & Immunology Clinical Services

Our physicians offer exceptional care and are leaders in the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases.

Our specialists at NYU Langone’s Division of Infectious Diseases and Immunology are committed to delivering the highest-quality patient care, as well as educating people about disease prevention. We treat a variety of infectious diseases, and our physicians have made significant contributions to advancing the basic science and clinical care of viral and bacterial conditions such as HIV infection and AIDS, staphylococcal infections, hepatitis B and C, and tuberculosis. We are also known nationwide for the hospital-based care of patients who have Ebola and other transmissible diseases.

We are committed to advancing patient care and safety through the implementation of cutting-edge infection control and prevention measures. Our experts at the Vaccine Center merge basic science, clinical studies, and public health outreach to prevent the spread of disease.

Our core and affiliated faculty within the division offer an outstanding breadth and depth of expertise. We provide inpatient consultation services at NYU Langone’s Tisch Hospital, Kimmel Pavilion, NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn, NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital, and Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone.

Our physicians also provide inpatient and outpatient consultations at the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System and NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue. Our infectious diseases and viral hepatitis clinic at Bellevue is a major referral center in New York City for the treatment of general infectious diseases and viral hepatitis.

Our Bellevue virology outpatient service was recently ranked in the top tier for HIV services by the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, based on outstanding achievements in 13 different criteria for patient care quality. Our infectious diseases clinic at the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System in Manhattan provides exceptional care for the largest cohort of people who have HIV within the nationwide VA system.

Our outpatient clinics include new initiatives such as the travel medicine clinic, the transplant infectious diseases clinic, and the outpatient antibiotic therapy clinic (OPAT). The travel medicine clinic, now in two locations—Tisch Hospital and the Preston Robert Tisch Center for Men’s Health—is a growing initiative in the division.

Through our network of inpatient and outpatient clinics across New York City and Long Island, we strive to provide the best care to a diverse population. Our mission is to deliver healthcare to every patient with dignity, cultural sensitivity, and compassion.
