The Division of Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider Services at NYU Langone Health educates and provides professional development for physician assistants and nurse practitioners in the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Emergency Medicine.

Since the introduction of emergency medicine advanced practice providers in October 2011, the division has flourished in size and scope, providing care in alignment with the clinical and educational mission of the department. Our advanced practice providers work collaboratively with emergency medicine, observation, and urgent care faculty. They are dedicated to providing the highest-quality care in our emergency departments and observation units, as well as after discharge through follow-up care.

As clinicians, researchers, and educators, we are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients, our students and trainees, and the broader community.

Advanced Practice Provider Education

Our Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship is an innovative and collaborative program that brings together faculty and professional mentors from across NYU Langone to provide a world-class educational experience for physician assistants and nurse practitioners.

Our fellows train in a variety of clinical sites, including busy emergency departments at Ronald O. Perelman Center for Emergency Services and NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn. They also participate in an academic curriculum that prepares them to excel as medical providers.

We continue to build our educational programs by identifying ways to encourage the personal and professional development of physician assistants and nurse practitioners in emergency medicine and complementary fields.
