Dermatology Clinical Trials & Clinical Research

The clinical trials unit in NYU Langone’s Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology, known as the Dermatology Clinical Studies Unit (DCSU), focuses on connecting patients with opportunities to participate in clinical research. Whether we are finding new therapeutics or other interventions, developing devices for early disease detection, or identifying disease characteristics from donated biopsies, the goal of our unit is to translate research from concept in order to effectively treat a broad array of dermatologic diseases including skin cancers, dermatomyositis, pemphigus, and hair loss.

The unit is a key site for numerous nationally conducted clinical studies, trials, and registries. It is staffed by physicians with unique expertise in dermatologic conditions who are directly involved in the development of protocols and oversee the safety and effectiveness of cutting-edge investigational therapies.
