Certificate in Comparative Effectiveness & Implementation Research

The advanced Certificate in Comparative Effectiveness and Implementation Research at NYU Grossman School of Medicine is geared toward students who have prior training in foundational clinical research methods (epidemiology or biostatistics, for example) and want to gain a background in comparative effectiveness and implementation research.

If you are interested in this program but do not have experience in clinical research methods, you can be trained in these skills through our MS in Clinical Investigation.

As part of this nine-credit certificate program, you complete three courses: Introduction to Dissemination and Implementation Science Research, Meta-Analyses and Systematic Reviews, and Economic Evaluation in Health and Medicine. Other courses that may be offered include Advanced Methods in Observational Data Analysis. When you complete the program, you receive a New York State–approved Certificate in Health Disparities and Health Equity Research. Read the full course descriptions for the program.

How to Apply

Applicants must submit a completed Certificate in Comparative Effectiveness and Implementation Research application, which includes a CV, an official transcript from your undergraduate or your most recently obtained degree, a personal statement describing your career plans beyond the certificate program, a letter of recommendation, a financial statement regarding payment for the program, and a recent photograph (optional).
