Engaging with our fellow researchers, clinicians, and community members is an important part of the work we do at NYU Langone’s Comprehensive Program on Obesity. Each year we host a range of events, including an annual summit on obesity research and other obesity-related networking events and seminars.

COVID-19 and Obesity Virtual Symposium

The COVID-19 and Obesity Virtual Symposium hosted by the Comprehensive Program on Obesity featured a full slate of presenters from institutions across the country.

New York City Regional Obesity Forum

In 2019, NYU Langone’s Comprehensive Program on Obesity and the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, part of the Department of Medicine, hosted the fourth annual New York City Regional Obesity Forum.

The event featured keynote speakers Marion Nestle, PhD, MPH, the Paulette Goddard Professor of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health at NYU, and Steven Smith, MD, senior vice president and chief scientific officer of AdventHealth Orlando Research Services.

Obesity Research Summit

NYU Langone’s Comprehensive Program on Obesity hosted its inaugural Obesity Research Summit in 2018 to highlight the latest findings in obesity research. Keynote speakers Eran Segal, PhD, from the Weizmann Institute of Science, and Dariush Mozaffarian, MD, DrPH, from Tufts University, led a panel of experts representing academia and industry.
