The Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) Developmental Projects Program

Deadline: February 16, 2015, 5 pm

The Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Cancer Center announces the initiation of its 2016 Developmental Projects Program. The Program is designed to support cancer-focused research projects that address an important and immediate clinical problem, have a high likelihood of generating key preliminary data to lead to externally funded grants, and move forward the strategic initiatives of the Perlmutter Cancer Center’s Research Programs.

The Developmental Projects Program of the Perlmutter Cancer Center will award 1 to 2 grants this year up to $200,000 each in direct costs. Projects are preferred that support an investigator initiated trial that has a high likelihood of leading to externally funded grants and moves forward the strategic initiatives of the Perlmutter Cancer Center’s Research Programs. The funds would support correlative marker studies based on investigator initiated trials, and additionally may also support data management and research nursing costs. Correlative studies of existing high profile clinical trials are also of particular interest. Awards will be for one year. Preference will be given to projects that include a clinician and a basic scientist who would be involved in the correlative assays. Pre-applications consisting of a one page LOI are due February 16th and should be emailed directly to Laura Alice (laura.alice@nyumc.org). Invited full applications will be due April 1st with an estimated initiation of funding by May 1 of this year.
