As you browse our website you will see that we are home to the latest technology currently available, including the 7-Tesla whole-body MRI, two 3-Tesla whole-body MRIs (one TIM system with the other slated for an upgrade to TIM later this year), hyperpolarized helium for functional MR lung imaging, and Dual Energy CT. Our department houses multiple specialty laboratories including, radiochemistry, animal imaging, image-processing and RF coils for MRI. The centerpiece of the Department's research effort is the Center for Biomedical Imaging, whose primary goal is to discover new uses for high-field MR, prepare future leaders in biomedical imaging research, and develop new frontiers in radiology.
