NYU Langone’s Department of Psychiatry is committed to training the next generation of leaders in clinical care, research, education, and administration. Many of our alumni have gone on to hold leadership positions in psychiatry and have conducted groundbreaking research on the etiology and treatment of psychiatric disorders.

Our medical student education, residency programs, fellowships, training programs for psychologists who want to serve military families, and continuing medical education illustrate our dedication to continuous medical learning throughout the lifespan. Our faculty also teach through several affiliated psychology training programs.

All of our educational initiatives are structured to provide outstanding learning, personalized mentoring, and academic rigor in a diverse and inclusive environment that is supportive, collaborative, and intellectually stimulating.
