Fresco Institute for Parkinson’s & Movement Disorders
The Marlene and Paolo Fresco Institute for Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders at NYU Langone is dedicated to advancing the understanding of, treatment for, and education underlying Parkinson's disease and movement disorders—with the ultimate goal of preventing and curing these diseases. The Fresco Institute will expedite its mission and broaden its reach by engendering scientific and clinical collaboration between the United States and Italy.
The Fresco Institute is proud to be a National Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence since 2009, and to be a leader in Parkinson’s care. The Institute was originally named the NYU Langone’s Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Center. The center was founded in 2007 with the generous support of the Edmond J. Safra Philanthropic Foundation, which continues to support many of the Institute’s programs.
