Awards

2021 - 2023:

  • Our lab organized a "Next Frontiers in Consciousness" Workshop at the NIH Bethesda campus in June, 2023.  The workshop was co-funded by an NSF conference grant and the Blueprint for Neuroscience Research and the BRAIN Initiative at the NIH.  A meeting report was published in Neuron.
  • Giulia Gennari received an NYU Leon Levy Fellowship in Neuroscience
  • Nick Ankuta received an NYU Dean’s Undergraduate Research Fund grant
  • Our collaborative project with the OLAB, titled "Bridging Neural and Computational Perception", was funded by a Medical Research Grant from the W. M. Keck Foundation
  • Biyu received the 2023 Vilcek Prize for Creative Promise in Biomedical Science.
  • We received a Templeton World Charity Foundation grant to investigate the impact of stimulus ambiguity on the neural mechanisms of conscious perception.
  • We received a Feldstein Medical Foundation grant to study visual hallucinations in Lewy body diseases.
  • We received an R01 grant from NEI to study the role of spontaneous brain activity in perception.
  • Dillan Spector received an NYU Dean’s Undergraduate Research Fund grant
