Research
To advance the frontiers of knowledge concerning the mechanisms and treatment of skin diseases, to apply the most modern scientific tools to skin-related research questions and to observe from our patients clues to a better understanding of disease.
Public Health
To study our patients' behaviors and identify risk factors that might contribute to skin diseases and to communicate this information to the public by means of publication in lay journals, lectures in community settings, and dermatologic health-care screenings.
