This patient complained of hoarseness. On exam, she was found to have a whitish area on the left vocal cord (arrow). This lesion was biopsied, and found to be benign.

This patient complained of hoarseness, and was found to have a whitish lesion of the right vocal cord. The lesion was removed using a microflap technique, with full return of voice. The first picture shows the lesion, and the second picture demonstrates the appearance of the vocal cords after removal. This lesion was found to be benign after biopsy.
