Dr. Patrick Lamparello is Director of the Vascular Fellowship Program and Vice-Chairman of the NYU Department of Surgery.

Under Dr. Lamparello’s leadership, 2 accredited fellows are trained to become board-certified vascular surgeons each year. Over the years, the surgical residency and fellowship program has graduated many award-winning, well-published vascular surgeons who are now distinguished throughout the United States for their research and clinical excellence.

Dr. Lamparello is board certified in general surgery and vascular surgery. He is a leader in the field of endovascular surgery, specializing in endovascular aneurysm repairs and carotid artery stenting. He has a private practice and treats patients with a wide range of vascular problems.

He is annually recognized to be one of New York’s best physicians in publications including New York Magazine and Castle Connolly’s America’s Top Doctors.

Experience
Dr. Lamparello is an active member and serves on many committees of the major national vascular societies (Society for Vascular Surgery (Distinguished Fellow), Eastern Vascular Society, Association of Program Directors in Vascular Surgery, American Board of Surgery (Certifying Examiner, Vascular Surgery Board), Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, and New York Vascular Society). Dr. Lamparello is widely published and renowned in the vascular surgery community.

Education
Dr. Lamparello graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a general surgical residency at Montefiore Medical Center, and a vascular surgical fellowship at NYU.
