Glenn Jacobowitz, M.D.

A Pioneer in Minimally Invasive Vein Surgery

Experience
Dr. Glenn Jacobowitz is Vice Chief of the NYU Division of Vascular Surgery, Director of Vascular Surgical Services at Tisch Hospital, and Associate Professor of Surgery.

Dr. Jacobowitz has been on the faculty of New York University School of Medicine since 1996, and is well published in many areas, including aspects of carotid artery surgery, endovascular aortic aneurysm treatment, and arteriovenous malformations.

He is the institutional principle investigator at the Veterans Affairs Hospital for a national trial comparing open surgical repair with minimally invasive endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms.

Dr. Jacobowitz was one of the first surgeons in New York to perform minimally invasive varicose vein surgery. He further specializes in angioplasty and stenting for lower extremity arterial disease, aortic aneurysms, and carotid disease.

Professional Memberships
Dr. Jacobowitz has presented his work at several national society meetings. He is a member of multiple regional and national vascular societies, including membership in the Society for Vascular Surgery as a Distinguished Fellow.

Education
Dr. Jacobowitz is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Princeton University.  He completed his medical school at NYU School of Medicine from which he graduated AOA, and did his surgical residency and vascular surgical fellowship at NYU Medical Center.
