New York University School of Medicine requires the following immunizations and evidence of immunity. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in your removal from class.
Measles, Mumps, Rubella Vaccines (MMR) – a series of two vaccines after 12 months of age, at least one month apart.
Tetanus-Diphtheria – a primary series of DPT, DT or Td and a TD booster with the last 10 years.
Hepatitis B – a series of 3 doses
Varicella (Chickenpox) – series of two doses or a documentation of a positive titer.
Meningococcal (meningitis) – documentation of a menomune vaccine within the last three years or documentation of a menactra vaccine within the last five years.
Tuberculosis skin-testing (PPD) – all students are required to have an annual intradermal skin test for each academic year.
First year students are required to provide the following prior to arrival at school:
Copies of original lab tests for Measles (Rubeola) titers, Rubella titers, and varicella titers. All titers need to be quantitative.
Copy of a CBC and a lipid profile within three months of starting school

Completed medical history form
Completed immunization record
Completed physical exam form

PPD Tests for Tuberculosis
First year students will have PPD tests done in Student Health upon arrival at school. Incoming students in the NYC area prior to the start of orientation can come to the Student Health Service for their PPD earlier. The PPD cannot be done by an outside physician or agency.
All other medical students are required to have PPD at the beginning of each academic year.
