Sexually transmitted illnesses or “STD’s” are among the most important public health problems in the U.S with a large percentage of these occurring in young adults.
The NYU School of Medicine Student Health Service is available to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of infected patients and to provide counseling and patient education.
Free testing for both men and women is available. Some of the tests are available to women only during a gynecologic exam. To make an appointment for the Women’s Health Clinic call 212-263-5489.
HIV testing is available free to medical students and Sackler Institute Graduate students. The testing is strictly confidential. No appointment is needed.
