WELCOME TO NYU MEDICAL STUDENT HEALTH SERVICE

This is a website for NYU Medical Students and Sackler Institute Graduate Students

Good health is an essential part of a successful educational experience.

The Medical Student Health Service is open Monday through Friday. The office is always staffed with a Nurse Practitioner. One hour a day, there is an internist available during the Doctor Clinic Hour. No appointment is needed.

We are located in Greenberg Hall, 545 First Avenue.

If emergency medical care is needed after hours, go to the Emergency Room at Tisch Hospital.

For Medical Students, if emergency mental healthcare is needed call Dr. Attwell at 212-570-1933

The MISSION of the Medical Student Health Service is to provide quality medical care to the ill or injured student in a nonjudgmental environment that respects individual differences.  We seek to assist the student in navigating the health care system to achieve an optimum level of health and well- being.

The COST of visiting the Medical Student Health Service is included in your student activity fee. There is no charge to students regardless of how many times they visit or what type of health insurance they carry.

The STUDENTS ELIGIBLE to receive services are medical students, MD/PhD students and Sackler Institute of Biomedical Sciences Graduate Students.
