Application Process
Once you have identified an opportunity you are interested in, complete the
application in its entirety and submit it to the School of Medicine's Office
of Student Affairs at least two months prior to departure. Applications are
available at the Office of Student Affairs. Applications are accepted on a
rolling basis throughout the academic year. However, we strongly recommend
that students apply early.
Special Notes:
- Application approval does not guarantee travel, elective credit, and/or
funding until all requirements are completed.
- If you do not receive approval from the Office of Student Affairs, you
cannot identify yourself as a NYU medical student or act as a representative
of NYU School of Medicine.
Students will be notified by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) about the
status of their application. Once a project is approved, students will receive
an Acceptance Packet with instructions and required forms.
Eligibility
You must be in good academic standing and be considered
academically prepared by an appropriate faculty member at the time of application.
Post Travel Requirements
Upon return, students must submit their final
report (as determined prior to your departure) and a program evaluation to
the OSA. Students will be asked to present their experience at a future date
to interested faculty, staff, and students.
