The goal of the Master Scholars Mentoring Program is to enhance students' professional development by providing personal and career-oriented support through regular group meetings with skilled faculty members. The faculty's role in these mentoring meetings is to focus on getting to know the students, encouraging them to know and help each other, helping them put the first two years of medical school in perspective, and guiding them through a "curriculum" in professionalism. These sessions are informal discussions requiring minimal preparation. While the Master Scholars Program guides you regarding what is expected, we hope you will feel free to make it your own. We are committed to making this energizing and meaningful for the students and mentors.
