Under the auspices of the Office of Student Affairs, the NYU School of Medicine Student Activities Office (SAO) functions as an event planning and resource for medical students. The office is available to assist student organizations with on- and off-campus events, bulletin board assignments, and publicity. The office also maintains a variety of student facilities and collaborates on New Student Orientation, Senior Week, and graduation.
- Assigns all bulletin boards within the ground floor of the Medical School.
- Receives and forwards club mail to club officers.
- Assists student leaders with payment and processing of forms for on and off campus events.
- Maintains the Rubin Gym.
- Acts as liaison for upkeep of other student facilities (i.e., Rubin Lounge, Lobby and hallways).
- Works with Student Orientation Committee to plan social events during New Student Orientation.
- Works directly with Student Council to implement programs and events for the entire student body.
- Assists student organizations with various logistical needs (i.e., establishing phone service, shipment of book donations, distribution of donated goods).
- Provides discounted tickets and products through the Ticket Xpress Office.
