NIH is centralizing receipt and initial processing of all NIH non-competing progress reports due on or after October 1, 2004.

The new centralized mailing address for all NIH Institutes/Centers (IC) is:

Prior to October 1, 2004, progress reports should continue to be mailed to the individual NIH Institutes/Centers (IC's).

As the NIH unfolds its plans and procedures regarding the electronic submission of grants and progress reports, our office will keep you posted on developments. The NIH Electronic Research Administration (eRA) Commons is a web site where PI's and administrators at NYU School of Medicine can obtain and submit grants-related documents once they're actively enrolled.

• Review summary statements ("pink sheets") online.
  
  
• Submit Just-In-Time information requested by NIH.
  
  
• Submit Progress Reports online (coming in early Fall).
  
  
• On-line filing of initial no - cost extension for most grants.
  
  
• On-line review of grant application material for those on NIH study sections.

We strongly encourage all faculty with any NIH grant pending or active to sign up for the NIH eRA Commons prior to October 1st. If you have not already enrolled in the eRA Commons, please call our office at 212-263-8822 and ask for Karen Carr, Jessy George, Todd Butera, or Farooq Niazi for assistance.

You may also e-mail us your application by sending a request to grants.office@med.nyu.edu. If you ask to enroll via e-mail, please provide us with the correct spelling of your name, date of birth, social security number, NYU e-mail address, and a phone number where we can reach you. Our office is responsible for the initial enrollment of investigators into the eRA Commons. Once we enroll you, you will receive an e-mail from NIH with an auto-generated password and instructions for signing into the system within 48 hours of our creating your account .
