Spa Internal Deadline: August 9, 2005

This award provides advanced postdoctoral fellows at the cusp of their assistant professorships with career development support of $500,000 for five years.

New York University has been invited to submit six outstanding candidates to this program.

Candidates must have completed between twelve and forty-eight months of postdoctoral research training, by the date of application.

Individuals who hold a faculty appointment as an assistant professor or who have been informed that they will receive such an appointment within a year of the deadline are not eligible.

Awardees must dedicate 80% of their professional effort to award-related activities.

Institution Specific Information on NYU School of Medicine Scholars Programs

The Scholars and Intramural Programs are highly competitive and prestigious award programs that support new investigators with outstanding promise in basic and clinical sciences, or distinguished investigators in mid-career. Application to these programs is by invitation only and/or a limited number of candidates can apply. The Biomedical Research Support Committee (BRSC) selects School of Medicine candidates for these programs.
