2005 Property and Equipment Inventory

RE: 2005 Property and Equipment Inventory

As required by the federal government, and in our ongoing effort to document the School of Medicine's property records, we will be conducting an inventory verification of our capitalized equipment assets. American Appraisal Associates, our consultants, will be conducting this equipment inventory process over the next several weeks, and their representatives will be visiting our space. Beginning next week, you may receive a call from American Appraisal personnel to schedule a convenient time to visit your department. Your cooperation, especially with ensuring access to your area, will be very helpful to the success of this project and greatly appreciated.

Unlike previous years, this inventory will be campus wide, that is, both School of Medicine and Hospitals Center assets will be inventoried in order to provide us with a complete reconciliation of the Property Plant Ledger, which covers both institutions. To that end, some of you may be contacted by American Appraisals more than once during this process as they cover the School and Hospital facilities.
