Message from Dr. Brotman:
It is my pleasure to introduce to the Medical Center and Bellevue community our new Affiliation Administrator, Sharrie McIntosh. Sharrie comes to us after 8 years in the Washington D.C./Virginia area working at The Lewin Group, an internationally and nationally recognized healthcare and human services consulting group, where she was a Vice President. She has a Masters degree in Health Administration and has extensive expertise in performance measurement and quality improvement, program design, operation and evaluation, strategic planning, cultural competence assessment and service delivery, public/private partnerships, healthcare policy, and other aspects of healthcare. In her work at The Lewin Group, she provided consulting services to a wide variety of public- and private-sector organizations and worked collaboratively with these organizations to develop performance management systems and implement evaluation processes that informed program operations and facilitated improved program/organizational performance. She will carry out many of the functions previously performed by Katherine Henry MD, who has decided to step down from her Senior Assistant Dean position to return to Chief of Neurology at Bellevue and Associate Professor in Neurology. I want to thank Kate for all her outstanding work over the last several years and am glad she is staying within the family as a prominent member of the NYU/Bellevue leadership.
