IRS temporarily increases the personal auto mileage rate

As a result of the high price of gasoline the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has temporarily increased the personal auto mileage rate from standard 40.5 to 48.5 cents per mile. The new rate is effective September 1st 2005 to December 31st 2005.

We will inform you of any changes as well as send a reminder at the end of this calendar year, when the increased rate expires.
