Program Description
Dermatology / Cutaneous Biology will be located on the 4th floor
of the Smilow Translational Research building, and will comprise
a collaborative group of researchers focuse especially in two areas,
Melanoma / Melanocyte Biology (including melanomagenesis, progression,
genetics, and therapy) and Epithelial Biology (including stem cells,
development, differentiation and carcinogenesis). Researchers housed
in Dermatology / Cutaneous Biology will also work closely with colleagues
in the adjacent Department
of Cell Biology and in the Dermatology research area on the
third floor of Tisch Hospital, as well as with basic and clinical
investigators in many other Departments and programs within the
School of Medicine.
Because of the expansion of space committed to Dermatology / Cutaneous
Biology research, applications are being accepted from investigators
with a track record of scientific productivity at both junior and
senior levels. Interested applicants should send a summary of their
