Cell Biology
Under the leadership of Ruth
Lehmann, Ph.D. and Dan
Littman M.D., Ph.D. the Kimmel Center for Stem Cell Biology seeks to recruit up to six new tenure track faculty engaged in stem
cell research. Academic appointments will be in one of the basic
science or clinical departments. Most positions will be at the
Assistant Professor level, although a few Associate or Professor
level recruitments will be considered. Areas of interest include
stem cell biology during normal development and regeneration of
the germ line, the nervous system, the immune system, the skin and
heart as well as the stem cell biology of cancer. Qualified candidates
working on animal models who seek to aply their finding to human
stem cell systems are particularly encouraged to apply.
Successful applicants should hold an M.D. and/or Ph.D. with established
reputations in these areas of research and visibility at the national
level.
