Smilow Neuroscience Program - Auditory and Vestibular Science
- The Department of Otolaryngology, Department of Physiology and Neuroscience and the Smilow Neuroscience Program are interested in recruiting two neuroscience faculty members to build on the clinical and research strength in auditory and vestibular sciences at NYULMC. The ideal recruit will combine techniques from multiple disciplines in a novel manner to address fundamental questions of auditory or vestibular circuitry and physiology. Available positions are tenure-track and at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor.
- We are particularly interested in faculty whose research shows significant potential for translation into clinical practice in the areas of auditory and vestibular disorders. Clinical application areas of special interest include (but are not limited to) deafness, cochlear implants, perceptual learning, tinnitus, and balance disorders.
- Candidates will be expected to have or develop a vigorous, well funded research program; participate in teaching residents, medical students, and graduate students; and carry out service activities at the departmental, school, university, national, and international levels.
- Candidates will be affiliated with the Department of Otolaryngology, with joint appointments in the Departments of Physiology and Neuroscience, and/or Cell Biology, depending on the area of interest.
- Qualified candidates should apply by following the instructions available on the web site. Review of applications will be ongoing.
