The Cardiovascular
Biology Program and the Division
of Cardiology will occupy two floors
of the Smilow Research Center, representing a significant opportunity
for growth in this area. Recruitment efforts will be led by Dr.
Glenn Fishman, the overall director of the Cardiovascular Biology
Program and the leader of the Molecular Cardiology component,
and Dr. Edward
A. Fisher, the director of the Vascular Biology component.
Applications are now being accepted for tenure-track faculty appointments
at all levels. We are particularly interested in applicants with
MD and/or PhD degrees and expertise in myocardial biology or vascular
biology who are using the latest concepts and techniques from molecular/
developmental biology, genomics, proteomics and animal models, and
translating these approaches into novel strategies to diagnose,
prevent and treat human cardiovascular disorders.
