Postdoctoral fellows spend most of their time performing laboratory research. Depending on the project, opportunities may exist for field work in endemic areas. Postdoctoral students also participate in teaching the Parasitic Diseases Laboratory Course. Weekly parasitology seminars are held in the Department, NYU Medical Center and many other scientific institutions in New York City.
