David B. Beck, MD, PhD (2014), is assistant professor of medicine and biochemistry and molecular pharmacology.

Tim Cardozo, MD, PhD (2000), is associate professor of biochemistry and molecular pharmacology. He is working on the molecular design of a drug that crosslinks two proteins of the gliding motility machinery of Plasmodium falciparum, the causative agent of malaria, for a novel malaria treatment under a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director’s New Innovator Award.

David L. Green, MD, PhD (1991), is clinical assistant professor, Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology.

Timothy Hilbert, MD, PhD, JD (1998), is assistant professor of pathology and the director of NYU Langone Blood Bank.

Eric J. Lang, MD, PhD (1995), is associate professor of neuroscience and physiology.

Cynthia A. Loomis, MD, PhD (1990), is assistant professor of pathology, dermatology, and cell biology.

Danielle Ofri, MD, PhD (1993), is an attending physician at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, associate professor of medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, and the editor-in-chief and co-founder of the Bellevue Literary Review, a literary journal devoted to writings about the human body, illness, health, and healing. Dr. Ofri is the recipient of an honorary doctorate of humane letters from Curry College in Boston.

Dimitris Placantonakis, MD, PhD (2003), is assistant professor of neurosurgery, as well as neuroscience and physiology, and the director of the Neurosurgical Laboratory for Stem Cell Research.

David M. Poppers, MD, PhD (2001), is clinical associate professor of medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology.

Robert Press, MD, PhD (1973), is NYU Langone’s senior vice president and vice dean and its chief of hospital operations, as well as a clinical professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Immunology.

Bo Shopsin, MD, PhD (2001), is assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases and Immunology, and in the Department of Microbiology. His area of research is the molecular pathogenesis of Staphylococcus aureus infections.
