The Center is staffed by Swallowing Disorders Specialists who have Masters' Degrees in the field of Speech-Language Pathology with additional post-graduate academic and clinical training in swallowing disorders. These specialists are licensed by the State of New York and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. The clinicians are extensively trained in the normal anatomy and physiology of the oropharyngeal swallowing mechanism, clinical and instrumental evaluation of feeding and swallowing function, and current treatment and management strategies. They are qualified to work with infants, children, and adults.

The staff of the Center work in conjunction with various medical disciplines (including rehabilitation medicine, radiology, otolaryngology, gastroenterology, neurology, and others) to promote comprehensive, quality care for all patients.
