Psychotherapy
Individual and group psychotherapy is offered on the Pediatric Service. The
type of treatment as well as the frequency is assessed on an individual
basis, depending on the patient's needs and goals. On the average, patients
are seen 2-3 times per week.
Neuropsychological Evaluation
Pediatric patients with a recent neurological insult (e.g.: traumatic brain
injury, cerebrovascular accident (stroke), brain tumor, anoxia, etc.) receive
a full neuropsychological assessment. Patients with a history of neurological
insult and/or developmental disability receive an evaluation if the family
is concerned about the child's current school placement.
Individual cognitive remediation is conducted as needed.
