Evaluation and Treatment Intervention
The department provides general occupational therapy evaluations as well
as specialized evaluations from certified therapists. These include assistive
technology evaluations, wheelchair and adaptive equipment assessments, and
the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test known as the SIPT. General treatment
intervention includes self-care, adaptive equipment and computer technology,
static and dynamic hand splint fabrication, cognitive-perceptual training,
sensory integration and neurodevelopmental treatment, handwriting intervention,
and community re-entry. Our goal is to help develop the child's fullest potential
to participate in meaningful life occupations such as play, self-care, and
other activities in school, home, and the community.
