The Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine's Occupational and
Physical Therapy Departments recently received a $35,000 grant from the
Helen Hoffritz Charitable Trust Fund and a $50,000 grant from the Warner
Foundation for the expansion of their assistive technology rehabilitation
program. These gifts will enable the two Departments to make assistive
technologies, such as adaptive computer accessibility and environmental
control units, more readily available to adults with disabilities, increasing
their participation and independence in vocational, leisure, and community
activities.
