Recent Faculty Activity in the Rusk Department of Psychology

A number of Rusk Psychology faculty members have recently presented at conferences:

Leonard Diller, PhD, Professor of Clinical Rehabilitation Medicine, NYU School of Medicine, and Chief of Behavioral Sciences at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, presented the 54th Coulter Lecture at the annual meeting of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, on September 12, 2004. Dr. Diller's talk was entitled "Pushing the Frames of Reference in Cognitive Rehabilitation."

Donna Langenbahn, PhD, Assistant Professor of Clinical Rehabilitation Medicine, NYU School of Medicine, and Supervisor of the Rusk Institute Outpatient Psychology Department, also spoke at the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine annual meeting. Dr. Langenbahn's presentation was called "Update on Evidence Based Cognitive Rehabilitation."

The Brain Injury Association of America hosted a special conference in Washington, DC, December 9-11, 2004, sponsored by the Moody Foundation. The topic of the conference was "Rehabilitation for Individuals with Brain Injury." The program was developed and organized by Yehuda Ben Yishay, PhD, Professor of Clinical Rehabilitation Medicine, NYU School of Medicine, Assistant Chief of Behavioral Sciences, Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, and Director of the Rusk Brain Injury Day Treatment Program. The conference included an array of national speakers. In addition to Dr. Ben-Yishay, Dr. Leonard Diller of the Rusk Institute also participated.
