A focal point for training in horticultural therapy since its development,
the Glass Garden has established a Training Institute to take the lead in
training in therapeutic garden design and horticultural therapy. Our staff
is actively engaged in extensive outreach and consulting. In addition, the
Glass Garden offers unique opportunities for researchers to study the beneficial
relationship between well-being and nature.
Evaluation and training of outpatients seeking employment in the horticulture
service industry are important parts of our programs, as are individualized
hands-on lessons for interested patients, visitors and Medical Center staff
on horticulture, insects, gardens and techniques.

The Glass Garden is pleased to introduce unique education classes for children and adults that take place in our award-winning gardens. Programs will introduce participants to the fascinating world of plants and are designed to increase knowledge, awareness and appreciation of nature. Sessions include hands-on activities with a take home product.
