Q: How will my gift be used?
A: If your gift is unrestricted, you allow the Rusk Institute
to allocate your contribution to where it is most needed to ensure our
ability to provide the best quality patient care. You may also choose
to designate your gift to a specific medical or patient care program in
Rusk.
Q: What are the different ways I can make a gift?
A: Gifts can be made by check, money order or credit
card (see Outright Gifts above). You may also make a gift of appreciated
securities (see Instructions for Transferring Securities). In addition,
you may make a gift via your estate plan with a bequest in your will

Q: How do I make a gift in memory of or in honor
of a friend or loved one?
A: To make a memorial or tribute gift, please complete
the following form and mail or fax it to the Office of Development.
When the gift is received, special notification will be sent to the
person or family you have indicated on the form. The amount of the donation
will not be revealed. You will also receive an acknowledgment for your
gift.
Q: Is my gift tax-deductible?
A: All gifts are tax-deductible, but the tax benefits of making a gift
can vary depending on the gift type. It is important that you contact
your financial and legal consultants to obtain specific information
or contact us.
Q: How will I be recognized for my gift?
A: Donors who have contributed $250 and above to the
Rusk Institute are recognized in NYU Medical Center's annual Donor Report.
Donors of $1,000 and above are invited to become members of The 1841
Society.
Donors of $1 million and above are listed on the donor wall in the main lobby of the NYU Hospitals Center. In addition, there are naming opportunities at varying levels exist throughout the new Rusk that will offer prominent recognition.
