Along with dedicated nurses and doctors who treat pediatric patients throughout
NYU Hospitals Center, Child Life Specialists, Recreation and Creative Arts
Therapists work throughout the Hospital to provide safe environments for children
to ask questions and express their emotions. Child Life services are designed
to help children and their families become familiar with the hospital environment
and allay fears that often accompany a stay in the medical center. Various
programs, such as play therapy, music therapy and art therapy, are provided
to meet the emotional and developmental needs of the children.
